- Our class will continue their study of the U.S. Constitution, with a focus on the Bill of Rights (first ten amendments). Quizzes on the Bill of Rights will be on Thursdays. Students have a study guide and notecards to study from. Our studies this week will consist of looking more closely at the Constitution, whilst also covering the branches of government.
- Students have Roots 12 quiz today, and they should study them a few minutes each evening. They will have Roots 1-12 next week and should be studying.
- Students chose from Last Dance on Holladay Street, about a young lady who goes in search of her mother in Colorado during the early 1800s, or The Legend of Bass Reeves, based on a black sheriff named Bass Reeves in the old west. They will have daily assignments that will go along with their readings. These are homework if not completed in class.
This is just the overview of what we are covering each week. Students and parents are encouraged to ask questions if class is missed or if there needs to be clarification on anything.
