Our class is beginning their study of the U.S. Constitution, with a focus on the Bill of Rights (first ten amendments). Quizzes on the Bill of Rights will begin next week; Thursdays. Students will receive a study guide and have already taken a practice quiz. Our studies this week will consist of reviewing Shay’s Rebellion, the Constitutional Convention, and how states should be represented in government through different compromises and plans. We will then continue on to the three branches of government and their main functions.
Students have Roots 9 quiz tomorrow, and they should study them a few minutes each evening. They will have Roots 1-9 next week. Those who have not received 100% will continue to study the U.S. map and will be tested each Thursday. All others may take it if they so choose. Any student with a consistent 100% will no longer be required to take the quizzes. Book Project is DUE Friday, January 15th. |
