• Our class will continue their study of the U.S. Constitution, with a focus on the Bill of Rights (first ten amendments). Quizzes on the Bill of Rights will be on Thursdays. Students have a study guide and notecards to study from. Our studies this week will consist of looking more closely at the Constitution, whilst also covering the branches of government.
• Students have Roots 11 quiz today, and they should study them a few minutes each evening. They will have Roots 12 next week and should be studying.
• Students chose from Last Dance on Holliday Street, about a young lady who goes in search of her mother in Colorado during the early 1800s, or The Legend of Bass Reeves, based on a black sheriff named Bass Reeves in the old west. They will have daily assignments that will go along with their readings. These are homework if not completed in class.
