September 19-23

We will continue reading our in-class novel , Blood on the River: Jamestown 1607 (BOTR) by Elisa Carbone, this week. This will mostly be in class with little to no homework.  Students are completing questions as we go. If you see this is missing, then they have homework.

Students have already begun to study the U.S. map and will be tested each Thursday, to ensure that we all have the same foundation of basic geography as we study the different places in history.

We began vocabulary last week and will have a quiz on Thursday. They need to know the definitions and example words. They will also be asked to complete a sentence, using the word and context clues.

This is just the overview of what we are covering each week. Students and parents are encouraged to ask questions if class is missed or if there needs to be clarification on anything.

Expectation are that all make-up work is completed in a timely fashion in order to receive credit (within a day, or quizzes within the week) in order to earn above a zero. Communication is key; I am reasonable.
